Alicante does use the state portal — including for the immigration office

This is the opposite of Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia, and it is good news. The Delegación del Gobierno names the state appointment portal directly for both Alicante offices, and the portal genuinely serves them: selecting Alicante shows two procedure groups, TRÁMITES OFICINAS DE EXTRANJERÍA and TRÁMITES POLICÍA NACIONAL. Valencia, by contrast, shows only the police group — which is why Valencia sends immigration-office appointments to an email address and Alicante does not.
One quirk to expect: Alicante is served by a different instance of the booking application, at icpco rather than icpplus, reached by picking the province from the portal front page.
Procedures are filtered per office, not merely per province. Torrevieja, for example, offers fingerprinting but not TIE collection. Check the office you intend to visit actually offers your procedure before you build a trip around it.
If your documents are not in Spanish, the Alicante office requires a sworn translation.

We do not tell you what time slots are released or how long it normally takes to get one. No official source states either: the administration says only that availability depends on each office. The specific times circulating on forums and blogs are guesses, and acting on them wastes people’s time.
