Valencia runs four separate appointment systems, and asylum is booked by phone on Wednesdays

Valencia is the clearest case of the national portal not being the answer. In-person applications at the Oficina de Extranjería are requested by email to citaextran.valencia@correo.gob.es, attaching the EX form and all documents as PDF; the office replies with the appointment. Two further procedures have their own mailboxes: gender violence and humanitarian grounds, and statelessness and cédulas de inscripción.

Police procedures do use the portal. Submitting documents at the Joaquim Ballester registry uses a different portal entry point again. And international protection has no online booking at all: appointments are taken by telephone only, on Wednesdays from 15:00, until that day’s slots run out.

The office is explicit that the TIE, NIE, EU registration certificates and long-term card renewals are not its business and that it does not manage police appointments. One useful point it makes in writing: a favourable resolution takes full legal effect on its own, and is not conditional on having obtained the TIE.

What you will not find here

We do not tell you what time slots are released or how long it normally takes to get one. No official source states either: the administration says only that availability depends on each office. The specific times circulating on forums and blogs are guesses, and acting on them wastes people’s time.
