In Madrid, immigration office appointments are requested by email

For a closed list of procedures, the Oficina de Extranjería en Madrid does not take appointments through the state portal. You gather every document as a single PDF, attach the official appointment form, and email it to citaprevia_extranjeria.madrid@correo.gob.es. Links to shared files and image files are not accepted, and you need one request per application.

The appointment is not granted automatically: the office checks your documentation first and assigns a slot only if it is complete. Incomplete requests get no appointment and no reply. If you have a digital certificate or DNI electrónico you can skip the appointment entirely and file through MERCURIO.

On the day, bring the originals, and do not arrive more than 15 minutes early. For the two procedures involving a minor born or not born in Spain, the office asks you not to bring the child.

What you will not find here

We do not tell you what time slots are released or how long it normally takes to get one. No official source states either: the administration says only that availability depends on each office. The specific times circulating on forums and blogs are guesses, and acting on them wastes people’s time.
